When there’s too much information on your business signage to take in at a glance, this creates an overload effect and makes possible clients turn away and stop reading.

We get a ton of clients coming to us with ideas for their business signs, which is great, we love client input. But a lot of the time it’s “I need my signs to say all of this” where they swiftly drop a short novel on my desk with a huge list of products or services no one is ever going to take the time to read.

Your signage should have short and snappy messaging. That might simply be your logo and slogan to showcase your brand, with some snazzy eye-catching 3D lettering that gives the impression “We are here, book us for this” The idea is to stop passers-by , make them look twice and think “Oooo that looks great, I’ll have to go in there”.

Concise messaging is key to making you stand out to passing trade, to make possible clients stop and think twice about using your product or service. And honestly, not to bore people to death with a giant billboard of text.
